Treatment of ME/CFS

View the Results of 10 Surveys collected regarding the effectiveness of several different types of treatment for ME/CFS, including GET (Graded Exercise Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), which are the main treatments recommended in the UK by the NICE Guidelines, and which have the most negative results.

The most promising types of therapies are "pacing" - alternating planned rest periods with activity (for a good resource on pacing, please see Hope and Help for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, by Alison Bested, MD, FRCP(C), Alan C. Logan ND, FRSH, with Russel Howe LLB), and bedrest.
